Noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, dirty bathroom
The Lady receptionist Ms.Diep was really very accommodating and helpful. With her assistance, She helped us book an extra baggage for our trip. Her help made our travel experience smoother.
No complaints.
We arrived late and they met us at the street to help with luggage.
It was a great location. There was many places to eat and shop.
Good king size bed
The elevator broke down twice on the same day. The room near the street was still honking in the midnight which was very disturbing.
The location is also perfect, making it very convenient for both sightseeing and business. The staff were friendly, and always ready to help. The room was clean and very comfortable . I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.
Location
The bathroom was moldy, rusty., and dirty.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. One of the best things about it was the location — everything was close by! Shops, restaurants, and local attractions were all within walking distance, which made getting around super convenient.
I didn’t like the smell in the bathroom — it was unpleasant, like vomit coming from the hand basin. That definitely affected my overall experience.
Great hotel in a prime location in Hanoi. The facilities were good and the staff all very friendly and helpful. Would recommend. :)
Good interior, location is close to the city center
The window in the room looks inside the hotel - to the wall with a mounted air conditioner system. Stuffy and hot room. Only one towel per person. Staff do not seem to be interested in guests.Breakfast is common - instant coffee.
Very central location close to old town Hanoi and easy walking distance to all the attractions- Train street and the old town and lake. Communication with the management was excellent- Ms Diep contacted me directly via WhatsApp prior to arrival to let us know if we needed any assistance we could contact her directly. We booked an airport transfer for our early morning arrival into Hanoi (at 1am) and the driver then also messaged me with his exact location was waiting when we came through arrivals. No payment needed immediately, we paid for the taxi room and other services (laundry) the night before checking out- credit card accepted (3% cc charge is standard in Vietnam) the room itself was spacious and clean (we booked a bigger room with balcony) with good air conditioning and WiFi. Huge bed, good shower with very hot water. We didn’t get the room cleaned every day as we didn’t feel it was necessary but when we did the room was cleaned well and bedding and towels changed. Staff were excellent throughout especially the young ladies on reception. Staff- 10/10.
Not really a complaint but traffic noise could be an issue for some- to be expected on a busy street in a busy city. There may be quieter rooms towards the back of the hotel.
Great location, very accessible for shopping, food joints. We stayed for 3 days. They arrange for our ha long bay tour as well.
The receptionist was awfully rude. They did a terrible job with our laundry and we had to dry it ourselves in order to pack in time to leave. Breakfast was terrible. Zero soundproofing. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all.
It was in the old quarter, so super accessible to everything, many local food spots and was walking distance to most things on my list. The room was nice and peaceful, the staff are lovely and super helpful! Would definitely stay here again! Very happy!
Wonderful staff - helpful and friendly. The balcony room was perfect to relax on away from the crowds!Great location too - we walked everywhere!
Bad experience
I don’t usually write bad reviews but felt compelled to do so following my stay here. Our rooms bedding was not changed following our first nights stay. I know this due to a small stain on the sheet. I spoke to reception the next morning regarding this and in fairness they mentioned i needed to request the bedding to be changed, although there was no mention of this during check-in. Following this, I requested for the bedding to be changed three times in this conversation, with the last time specifically mentioning that the sheets to be changed for when I come back in the evening. Upon coming back to the room it appeared the sheets had been changed as there was no stain and the beds had been done up, but when getting into bed when I was about to sleep I found the sheets were simply turned over to hide the same stain. I felt as though this was entirely disrespectful, as I can appreciate that the cleaners may have forgotten to change the sheets but to obscure it was a different matter. The next morning I spoke to reception again and highlighted this issue, outlining that in 3 nights stay the bedding was not changed once despite my direct requests to do so. Their response was that they are new and are unaware of this issue but will follow it up. I had no follow up contact, if I had I wouldn’t have posted this review. I had actually asked reception of the possibility of booking on for another night due to issues at Heathrow airport with inbound flights, and they said that they could make the same room available for an additional night for me. However, following this bad service I chose to move elsewhere for the final night.
The room that we had booked was very small and had no ventilation, but we were able to pay extra and upgrade to the deluxe room which was spacious and had a balcony too.The staff were super helpful with the upgrade as well as guiding us for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants.Really appreciated the fresh fruits and Continental breakfast options as we are not used to Vietnamese foods. The location was the best part, right in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarters so we could easily experience the street food, the night life, the night markets.. the overall vibe was great. The tours picked us up right from the hotel too.
The main thing I didn't like was that there were two rats running in the corridor near the reception when we got back late (around 10 p.m.) one night.
Nicely located, very friendly staff, clean room
Staff were nice - let us change rooms to a family room when I complained about the room we booked (standard double) Location was great
The smell of mould or dampness in our room that we booked. I know this is on the less expensive end of the scale in Hanoi but it was not up to parThe bathroom grout had black mould and I was scared of getting sick so asked to change rooms. The room did not look clean like the photos Changed to a family room which was a little nicer but still had a faint smellThere were ants always crawling around our bed and luggage - kind of nerve raking when you are flying home to go through border security the next day!
The breakfast buffet is good. The staffs are accomodating.Tsa is very accomodating and even let us cjlhange to twin rooms.
I hope there's a divider for the shower and toilet for standard room.
